Hello! I’m Phoebe (she/her)!

I am a 24 years old automotive cybersecurity engineer living in south-west germany. I am currious about everything cyber and IT-security related.

Why this blog?

Well, why not? To be honest, I was probably procrastinating… I was planning on starting with game development when I suddenly thought, ‘Let’s make a blog about it too.’
Now I am sitting here with my own weblog (at least it’s simple).

But why “getting into game dev” anyway? Well, to be honest… Even though I studied within the field of IT (IT security, to be precise) and have known how to program for over 12 years… I never really coded much.
Don’t get me wrong, I am fluent in C and Python and can reverse engineer C++ and x64 assembly too. But besides some projects for university, a couple of scripts, and of course some exploits for bug bounties or Hack The Box… I never really coded anything ‘proper’. (There is no such thing as proper; if you can write a “Hello World” – and even if not – go ahead and call yourself a programmer. But I personally would just like to delve a bit deeper into the world of coding).
Why gamedev? Well, I did try my hand at gamedev as a kid, but I got sidetracked by security way too soon to delve into it. After a friend inspired me, I thought, “Why not jump into it again and see where it goes?”
